Sam Raimi podría participar en Spiderman 4, 5 y 6

Hace un par de años, Sony Pictures reveló sus intenciones de realizar las secuelas 4, 5y 6 de Spiderman. En una reciente entrevista con motivo del estreno mundial de Spiderman 3, Sam Raimi, director de la franquicia, anunció que participaría si hubiera una buena historia que contar:
Sony has announced that they’re planning to do “Spider-Man” 4, 5 and 6. Are you going to have anything to do with those?
RAIMI: Yes, Sony’s making 4, 5 and 6, but I haven’t had time to even think about involvement. I don’t want to assume that they were definitely going to ask me to do it. I don’t want to be presumptuous about that.
Would you like to?
RAIMI: If there was a great story to tell, and I felt I had a really good take on where the character could grow to, then I think it would be great. But I’d have to have a tremendous passion to do it. Because so many people love Stan Lee’s character that if I didn’t think I could do it fantastically, then I should step aside and let a younger director come in who loves the character and who could do it with the greatest passion on Earth.
Raimi también explica que Venom fué agregado en Spiderman 3 para satisfacer a los seguidores del comic. El director tenía pensado presentar a Venom en la tercera entrega y continuar con el villano en un cuarto film. Como ya lo había comentando en este post, se nota que la inclusión de Eddie Brock Jr no estuvo considerada desde el inicio de la producción, ya que el personaje no desarrolla ni la mitad de todo su potencial.
Spiderman 3 ha roto el récord de recaudaciones en el dia de estreno: 59 millones de dólares. La anterior marca la tenía Star Wars: Episode III - The Revenge of The Sith, con 50 millones de dólares. Se estima que también tendrá una recaudación superior a Pirates of Caribbean: Dead’s Man Chest (135 millones de dolares) en el fin de semana de estreno.
